Air compressor is the main unit of air supply device. It is the device which can transfer the mechanical energy of prime motor into pressure energy of air. It is the air pressure generator, carrying out air compression.

Generally-speaking, the most normal screw air compressor is micro-oil type. During the compression of air, the engine oil added on the screw will be mixed with the air. Although the compressed air and engine oil will be separated after passing through the filtering device, there will still be a small amount of oil mixed with the compressed air. For normal workshop and machines, the compressed air with a small amount of oil will not cause any problem.

Oil-free rotary screw air compressor can be applied in industries which requires highly on air quality such as pharmaceutical industry and food industry. The so-called oil-free air compressor doesn’t mean that there is no oil inside the air compressor. It means that there is no contact between air and engine oil during its compression. But there is lubricating oil at the parts such as bearings and gear for lubrication. Precise filter can be added at the back-end of air compressor to improve air quality. Only the water lubricating oil-free screw air compressor can be real oil-free. It adopts water as the replacement of oil, realizing lubricating, cooling, sealing, noise reducing and some other functions, providing superior, totally oil-free and pollution free compressed air.
